Outdoor Venues

Vesper Knoll
This outside venue serves as an amphitheater and spiritual gathering place for weddings and other purposes. Seating is on the grassy hillside or chairs may be set around the stage. ADA accessibility is limited. This venue is perfect at sunset but no nighttime lighting is available. This venue can accommodate approximately 250 guests. Please note that an audio system is not provided.

Ed Heineman Park & Pond
This outside location offers beautiful mountain vistas, water and lush pastures for a charming outdoor wedding.

Indoor Venues

Ag Building
Located on the Agricultural campus near the Dakan Arena and campsites, this venue features a fully equipped commercial kitchen, concession window, seating for 100 people, WiFi and large bathrooms.

Hammer Assembly Hall / Torner Dining Hall & Main Kitchen
Located at the heart of the main campus, this venue features a large fully equipped commercial kitchen, buffet service window, two dining areas suitable for 200 person capacity each (total capacity 400), up to date audio/visual system, and Wi-Fi. A minimum rental fee will apply for Friday, Saturday and Sunday rentals.

Wedding Package: $2500

Check-in: Renter may access the venue at noon on the day prior to the event for coordination and decorating. Request for early access will incur an additional fee.
Check-out: Renter must have clean up completed and vacate by 7 AM on the day after the event. Late check-out will incur additional fee.
Renter will have exclusive use of the upper campus with access to the following locations:
  • Hammer Assembly Hall (seats up to 200)
  • Torner Dining Hall & Commercial Kitchen (seats up to 200)
  • Vesper Knoll – For ceremony
  • Peg Polly Pavilion
  • Cheat Dormitory – For wedding party ready area
  • Tygart Dormitory – For wedding party ready area
  • Additional amenities:
  • Audio/visual system – An audio system is available in the Hammer Assembly Hall and Torner Dining Hall. A projector with a screen is also available. One person must be designated as the responsible party for the audio/visual system. This person must meet with a Camp Pioneer staff member the day before the event to ensure proper transfer and use of the system.
  • Kitchen appliances and utensils – Kitchen items including refrigerators, walk-in refrigerator, walk-in freezer, ice machine, serving pieces, coffee/tea makers etc may be utilized by renter. Camp Pioneer is not responsible for failures of refrigeration that may result in loss of perishable items. Pantry supplies (coffee, sugar, paper goods) must be provided separately by the renter.
  • Renter responsibilities:
    • Decorating – All décor and table settings to be provided by renter. Please note: use only non-damaging hanging supplies for event décor. No confetti of any kind is permitted. Renter may incur charges for repairs made due to staples, heavy tape, tacks and other damage.
    • Table set up and arrangement in the Assembly / Dining Hall
    • Seating arrangement and set up at Vesper Knoll (or other ceremony location)
    • All set up and clean up (including kitchen clean up, floors etc). Trash may be placed in the dumpster or dump trailer and will be disposed by facility staff.
    • Maintenance of trash cans and bathrooms during the event to be provided by renter. (Bathrooms will be cleaned and stocked once daily by a Camp Pioneer staff member).

    Reservation Fee:
    Total Fee of $2500.
    Optional Additional Services & Fees:
    • Chair covers with tie backs, Table linen & Linen napkin rental: $1500, includes rental only. Set up of chair covers is the responsibility of the renter.
    • Early access: A Camp Pioneer Staff member will provide access to facility for food delivery, caterer, decorator etc. $500.
    • Cleaning Fees: $100 per hour assessed if facility requires additional cleaning upon check-out.

    Catering

    A list of local caterers will be provided for weddings.
