What a great Ox Roast we had yesterday! In addition to eating an awesome meal, many patrons also brought items to donate to our neighbors in Upshur and Lewis Counties affected by recent flooding. Today, we sent over a load of non-perishable items as well as leftover baked beans, coleslaw, and hamburger buns.
A special thank you goes out to our many volunteers that allow this community tradition to happen each year!

Ever wondered how we get our roast beef to be so tender and delicious? An 18 hour overnight roasting process that begins with a very big, very hot fire!
Volunteers are slicing it right now so it will be ready for you!! Come see us from 4-7pm TONIGHT, Thursday, July 23rd.
Bring a non-perishable item to donate to our Upshur and Lewis neighbors (optional) and enjoy the camaraderie of our awesome community.

Big thank you to a team to help construct new manure pits! It may look simple, but this was no simple task! This little project required a lot of BIG equipment to transport these 2000 lb blocks and set them up. Big How How for Newlon's International, Tygart Valley Transfer Station, and Polino Contracting. 4-H Camp Pioneer and Dakan Arena are so fortunate to have a great community to support the facility!

Have extra pillowcases hanging around? We’ll take them for the Ox Roast! We use them as an extra layer of protection around the foil wrapped roasts in the cooking process.
