We had lots of improvements in 2025! A lot goes on to keep this wonderful facility running! Let's take a look back at some of the repairs and improvements we made and look at what is in store for 2026!
• Water lines replaced at the wash stalls $300
• Electrical hookups replaced at Campsites 1 & 2, electrical outlet replacements in the barn $250
• Range Hood repair at the Ag Building $1100
• PA System replacement parts/repair $300
• Gutter Repair on the Ag Building $1500
• Water leak & line repair at Dakan Arena $3300
• Water line replacements and French drain work at campsites near Dakan $5100
• Tractor maintenance and repairs $5700
• Thermostat repairs at the Isner Restroom, New signage $300
• Furnace repair at the Ag Building $1100
• 6 stall gates replaced at the livestock barn $1800
• Demolition and construction of new livestock chute (estimate) $4000
• New ice machine purchase and installation for Ag Building $4000
A total of $28,750! An amazing $9800 provided via donations.

Our work is neverending. Here's to some projects we are looking at for 2026:
* Wi-Fi connectivity upgrades & Security system for lower campus – This project is in progress but delayed. $6000
* Foundation posts at the Livestock Barn (no estimate)
* Shower replacement at the Ag Building (estimated repair $10,000)
* Float repair (Estimated repair $1000)
* Fence repair (Estimated repair $250)
* Defribrillator updates ($500)

Winter may seem quiet on campus, but our fantastic employees are working hard behind the scenes on repairs, maintenance and new projects! Here are just a few:
* Cheat (Girl's) Dorm is getting some fresh paint
* Hammer Assembly Hall has fresh paint, repairs from water and ice damage last winter, some ceiling tile replacements and a deep cleaning of all lights and vents.
* The Brick House (former caretaker residence) is getting continued renovations to replace all electric and plumbing, an accessible bathroom, a new HVAC system and drywall. We look forward to this space as a new central hub for a Camp office and operations!

On this giving Tuesday, think about 4-H Camp Pioneer! Our facility is in need of expansion of the Tygart (Boy's) Dormitory so that we can provide more opportunity for youth attendance to camps. The Mill's Group has so graciously provided some initial drawings to illustrate the vision.
